IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL STUDENTS

Dear students,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you of an important update regarding assessment submissions. Effective immediately, all assignments and assessments must include appropriate referencing to be considered for evaluation and grading.

Referencing your sources is a crucial aspect of academic work as it not only acknowledges the original authors but also supports the credibility and validity of your arguments and ideas. It allows us, as educators, to verify the information you have used and assess your ability to engage with credible and reliable sources.

Moving forward, any assessment submission that lacks referencing will not be accepted. This decision is made to uphold the principles of academic integrity and ensure fairness and consistency in our evaluation process.

We encourage you to inform us about the sources you use in a straightforward and simple manner. While formal referencing styles are appreciated, we also welcome the following alternative methods to acknowledge your sources:

1. In-text citations: When referring to specific information or ideas from a source, you can include a brief mention of the author's name and publication year in parentheses. For example: (Smith, 2023) or (Website XYZ).

2. Bibliography page: Instead of using a complete citation format, you can provide a list of sources you used at the end of your work. Include the author's name, title, and publication information in a clear and organized manner.

3. Hyperlinks: If you are using online sources, you can simply include the hyperlink to the webpage or article in your document. This way, we can easily access and verify the source.

4. Footnotes or endnotes: Add short notes at the bottom of the page or the end of your document to attribute specific information to its source. A simple identifier, such as the author's name or a keyword from the title, will suffice.

5. Acknowledgment section: Consider including a separate section at the end of your work, where you briefly acknowledge the sources, you used in preparing your assignment.

Whatever method you choose, ensure it allows us to identify and validate the sources you consulted.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best regards,

Combined Team Services
